Woke up reasonably early today in the red light district of Singapore .... Geylang. Really interesting place, at 6:30 am the whores were still walking the street! But great cheap food here, must be something about red light and food I think. Will be going out for a night time photo shoot later tonight along with the search for food. Mostly went walking around the historic centre of Singapore today and down by the water front. Have been searching for free internet and not finding it! Bring on Malaysia I say.

Think it might be the Zoo or Sentosa Island tomorrow, decisions decisions. Also need to source my Ticket to Melaka and find some accommodation there. Oh well, that is the easy part.

Also, walked into the middle of a movie set today while trying to get back to the Raffles MRT station. I am wondering what sort of movie need to have a guy riding a horse in downtown Singapore?

Also saw this dude just sleeping on the job. Reckon that he has the right idea actually:)

I really liked this piece of work by the Fullerton Hotel. Called 'The First Generation' it is a brilliant piece of work by Chong Fah Cheong (born 1946), this sculpture depicts scenes of early days of Singapore. Singapore River was once the lifeline of our country in the past, when the first migrant communities settled around here. It was not an uncommon sight to see naked boys swinging from trees beside the river and jumping into the water with gusto.

One of the stranger buildings in Singapore is the Marina Bay Sands. The owner of this was the 3rd richest person in the world in the Forbes line up 06 - 07. He is also the owner of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation so I guess lots of gamblers paid for this construction.

Well, think I will just paste up the rest of my picture for today from traveling around Singapore. These are from the two historic paths in the main centre.

Oh and what would pictures from Singapore be without
pictures of the Merlion?
