Shameful habit of burying ones rubbish in the sand is rife here. Or taking to the beach to burn. The attitude is that the river or sea will 'eat' the rubbish, then you don't have to see it or worse, pay someone to collect it from you. It all gets washed out to sea to pollute the ocean.
